Antique 19th Century Romana 900 Silver Hinged Bird Spice Keepsake Pill Box. This is one detailed, solid little bird, weighing in a just under 48 grams. Mid to late 1800's. Possibly for spices, keepsakes, or a pill box. I think most likely spices as there is a hole in the birds mouth. Hinges open and snaps closed on the bottom. Highly detailed, solid .900 silver. Stamped ROMANA 0900. Measures approximately 1 1/2 x 1 3/4 x 1 inches. Pre-owned, Antique, in excellent condition. Left with the aged look, has not been polished.
